Ethos Boxed Layout - Layer Slider Side Gaps

I have my Ethos Boxed layout set to 1200px wide. My Layer Slider is 1200 px wide. However, I have left and right gaps and I would like the Layer Slider to the edge of the boxed layout. My layer slider is in responsive mode.

When I adjust the margins on the Section to negative margins, I can stretch the slider to the edges. However, then mobile off cuts the sides of the slider. I need the layer slider to the edge both on Desktop and Mobile. I always try to search for the answer here, but I could not find this.

Hello @Kev,

Thanks for writing to us.

I checked your website it seems that it is working fine at my end. There are no gaps from left or right in Desktop or Mobile.

It might be cache issue at your end. I would suggest you clear your browser cache and then check it again.

On desktop, I have negative margins to make it fit. Otherwise there are white gaps on the sides.

On mobile, you can see the slider is cut off though.

So what is a universal resolution for this?

This is what it looks like when I remove the negative margins.

@PrakashS Here you go.

Hi Kev,

Thanks for sharing your credentials to us.

I check your website and the reason why your layer slider is not full width inside the box because the layer slider is inside the content of the page which has a fixed width, no matter what you will do it won’t make it 100% unless you customize it the way you did by adding some negative margins. Alternatively, you can achieve a full width layer slider in your box layout by going to page settings:

And go to Slider Settings: Below Masthead section and select your Layer Slider then click save.

It will make the slider full width inside boxed layout below your main menu and you may now delete the first section containing your layer slider shortcode.

Hope that helps.

Thank you.

@cramaton Marc Marc Marc… And I KNEW that, but hadn’t used it in like forever. Thanks for the reminder. You all are awesome as always.
