Essential grids not showing properly in Tablet view

Hi,
I have created 45 essential grids of between 1 and 7 images. They are all on the same page.
The page is fine on mobiles and desktop but in tablet it only displays some of the grids.
Please can you give me any help with this?
Thanks in advance.

Hi @sarahlouisewaterhous

That’s a large number of grids, however, I can see the grids are loading fine on an android tablet I have (Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1), so could you please let us know the tablet model and software version that you have this issue with?

Thanks.

Hi Thanks for your answer. It was an ipad where it doesn’t seem to load at all. But I did find that I was experiencing a loss of grids on the tablet view when I was using the Customise section where you can view it as a desktop, tablet or mobile site.
Is there a way to paginate a page like this or is that a stupid question!

Hello There,

To apply a pagination or load more to your grid, please check out this documentation:
https://www.themepunch.com/essgrid-doc/columns-rows-pagination/#pagination

Hope this helps.

Hi, thanks for that. I read the documentation but it looks as if it refers to large grids as opposed to what I have which is 45 separate grids. I was forced to create separate grids because of the nature of what is being displayed, which wouldn’t work in one big grid.
Is there something I can do to paginate with what I have?

Also, the grids are not loading at all on an iPad.
And on Android tablets a lot of the grids are missing as I said before with regard to viewing it through the ‘customise’ part of your theme. I just checked on an Android and about a quarter of the grids are not showing.

Thanks for your help.

Hello There,

Could you please update to the latest versions?
Our latest versions are:

  • X theme 6.2.5
  • Cornerstone 3.2.5
  • Essential Grid 2.2.5

This latest release contains fixes for several issues so be sure to check out the changelog (http://theme.co/changelog/).

_After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches (if you are using WP Rocket, WP SuperCache or W3 Total Cache) when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.-

By the way, I noticed that your page takes 13.23 seconds to load because of 284 request and 242 of those request are the images. It could be that it is not loading in the ipad or tablet because the page is not done loading all the elements yet. You can check out the more detailed page speed test from here: https://tools.pingdom.com/#!/b4YaKX/http://lakeartists.org.uk/online-catalogue-4/

Please let us know how it goes.
