Essential Grid with Envira Gallery => howto?

Hi there,

I tried to set up a gallery with Essential Grid and Envira.
What I have so far is a page with Essential Grid which shows all available galleries (with envira as source). Gallery01, Gallery02, and so on.

If I click an grid item (e.g. “Gallery01”) I get a 404 (page not found)
I have no idea, what I have to do to show the content of “Gallery01”

If I look at the URL I see:
mydomain.com/?post_type=envira&p=392

“392” is the id for the gallery (shortcode: [envira-gallery id=“392”])
But this custom post type?

Thank you,
Michael

Hey Michael,

I’m sorry but I don’t understand the issue. Would you mind give us specific detail about your setup? How did you integrate Envira Gallery to Essential Grid? What documentation did you follow? What are you expecting to achieve? Can you link to us an Essential Grid demo that uses Envira Gallery?

I went to mydomain.com/?post_type=envira&p=392 and I see it’s not using X.

Thanks.

Hi Christian,

I’ll updated the secure note with credentials…

I want to drive envira gallery with Ess. Grid.

  • Ess. Grid shows all galleries as griditems

  • I can click a grid item I should see the gallery itself.

  • In Ess. Grid as source I use under “source -> post type” “envira gallery”

Thank you,
Michael

Hi there,

Essential Grid isn’t the same as standard post types that have defined permalink. It doesn’t have URL reqrite when registered, it’s simply a grid that can be embedded through shortcodes.

Thanks!

Hi Rad,

I try to follow your suggestion in this post:

Thank you. It works now.
For the record:

  • For the album page I choose “envira gallery” as source for the essential grid
  • I set up a meta data “custom_url”
  • every album slide has to be edited and insert “custom_url”

Sorry I am lazy. Here is a link with all the information you need:

thanks.
