Essential Grid will Not Sort by Default

I set the Start Sorting by to my ACF field “live_broadcast_date” and I cannot get it to sort on initial load or refresh. If you use the sort dropdown it works properly. Any idea what’s causing this?

Thanks for writing in!

Please edit your grid and make sure that the “Start sorting by” is not set to none. You must select the custom field if possible.
