Essential grid sorting bug

Hello. Please note that this is a follow-up to this topic :

Unfortunately the topic was closed 5 hours ago  but anyway, I will not explain the whole thing again, it is detailed in the previous topic.
Since I had just changed hosting provider, I waited a few days to make sure the domain transfer wasn’t the issue. It wasn’t. So I started building a new grid from scratch as you suggested, to see if that was the problem, but unfortunately, if I used all the same settings as my existing “services” grid, the result was the same (ie. the grid works once but then as soon as you refresh the page it doesn’t work anymore).

However, now I have found a setting that makes the grid work : if I change , in essential grid settings, in the nav-filter-sort pane, in the sorting section, the Start Sorting By setting from title to random, then sure enough it displays fine every time. I’ve managed to reproduce this issue with all my site’s grids. If the setting is on random then it displays fine, if the setting is on anything else it displays just once.

This is very strange and definitely wasn’t the case previously (because my site had been working for years with the services page set to Start Sorting By : Title. So I guess this bug appeared after an update of essential grid (or less likely an X update). So I can’t sort my grid in the order I choose… It really doesn’t make any sense …

Hey Jerome,

Regretfully, we don’t have a solution to the Essential Grid bug. What we could do is report this issue to the Essential Grid author or developer. Once they have a new version, we will test and release the new version. Please stay tuned for updates.

Thank you for understanding.

Hello Christian,

Thank you for your reply.
Yes, please report this issue to the essential grid developer and please keep me informed when Essential grid offer a solution…

Thank you for the update. If you can provide the WP and FTP login details in the private field, we’ll check the issue further, but we can’t guarantee a definite fix. We also recommend reaching out to the plugin developers for additional assistance.
