Essential Grid Sizing Issue

hi

I am having an issue with Essential Grid and I’d like to try and resolve it.

Is it possible to use half measures with images in the grid? The predetermined sizing lists things like 1 wide x 1 high, 1 wide x 2 high and so on. It’s just that there are times that it is not possible to crop or resize images to fit exactly to those dimensions. I would like to be able to choose 1 wide x 1.5 high and such other dimensions. Can half sizes be done?

Is that at all possible in Essential Grid, or can it be done in CSS to adjust particular images so they conform?

How then would that be handled as the page size changes as well?

Thanks in advance

Hey @guybower1,

Your Grid Layout must be set to Cobbles for this case.

Then, you can set the Cobbles Element Size for your grid item.

Hope that helps.

Hi Christian

Thanks so much for your reply.

Yes, I am aware of cobbles and am using it with this particular grid. I am not sure you actually read my post through, though. The question was how to use fractions of the full measurement.

Due to how the images came out, on sizing them, they have come out best in particular dimensions. I would like to be able to use 1.5 x the unit for height, as that is how some images are sized; 1.5 units high. The images have been created using units measure and some are 1 unit wide, some are 2 units wide. For height, some are 1 unit high and some are 1.5 units high, but EG will only allow the image to be 1 or 2 units high, stretching or shrinking the image out of proportion.

Is it possible to alter that so the height is always 1.5 x the width; possibly by using CSS or some other way?

Thanks in advance

Oh I see. Sorry about that. Regretfully, those are the only sizes/aspect ratios Essential Grid offers. That might be possible with custom CSS and/or JS but that would take some custom development time which is not a part of our support service.

Thank you for understanding.
