I’m running X and want to create a Essential Grid that displays the most popular/viewed post on my home- and maybe some other pages. I tried several settings, but can’t get it to work. Googled this specific questions and landed on the old Apex forum (2016), but the answer was removed

Please be advised that by default, WordPress does not track each post or pages by views. it is only possible with custom development which is beyond the scope of our support. You might want to ask further assistance from 3rd party developers. To get you started with what you want, you might be interested in this link:

That’s ok and thank you for explaining and pointing me in the right direction! Now i do understand why this is not something that has to work right out of the box. I’ll investigate the link you’ve provided and see if it’s worth trying this for my site/
