Essential grid posts are missing

Hi! All my essential grid posts are missing… I didn’t do any update before it was missing. Right now I’ve updated everything, but the posts are still missing. I don’t see the articles in the front-end and I also don’t see the essential grid example post tab in the back-end. Can you please help?

I’m sorry to hear your having this issue but the Essential Grid Example Post type was not meant to be used for production. It’s the author’s way to help users get familiar with the plugin by providing example posts. The said custom post type is subject to change.

Regretfully, the only easy solution for this is to restore your site from a previous working state. Please ask your web host if they have a backup of your site. Once you have restored, you need to move the posts from the Essential Grid Example Post type to the another post type optimally created by you using a plugin like CPTUI.

By moving I mean manually copying each post to the new post type. Or, you can try following this guide at https://wpshout.com/quick-guides/change-post-type/

But why do I have still have all articles on an other website? And not this one?
I also don’t see an other tab for essential grid posts

Sorry I forgot to add the history of why that happened. Essential Grid has renamed their Example Post post type so the old one could not be read anymore. But, it might still be there in your database. It just could not be read. This is why I asked that your restore from a previous backup.

The thing with your other site is, it could have been setup using a version of Essential Grid with the new example post type.

If you have setup both sites at the same time and they’re using the same version, please give us WordPress Admin and cPanel credentials for both sites so we could compare.

Is it no possible to transfer the posts from the database? Because these are very important articles for our company

It is technically possible but it would require custom development which is beyond the scope of our support.

It would require the creation of your own custom post type and converting the Essential Grid posts in your database to that post type.
