Essential Grid not showing images on website, but they're showing up in preview mode

Hi all,

We recently moved hosts on our website and noticed that Essential Grid is now behaving oddly.

Here is a link example on our website of the issue.

Basically, when i’m in the essential grid object editor, the media from the “thumbnails” source shows up just fine in the previews. However, for whatever reason when viewing the essential grid content on our website, the images are not showing up at all.

I’ve searched for topics but have not seen any that would be specific to this issue.

We have:
WP 4.9.4
Themeco Child-X theme
PHP 7.0.28

I think most everything on our site should be up-to-date?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thank you,

Aerel

I’ve found that if i set the essential grid settings to the “load more” option with the load more button, then only the thumbnails that are loaded from there onwards have their images show up.

I’m guessing that maybe there’s some initial caching or optimization that could be conflicting or preventing the original thumbnails from showing.

Just an FYI to help isolate what’s going on.

Thanks,

Hi Aerel,
I couldn’t manage to log in your website as I got an error message reporting that the password used is incorrect, so I would appreciate if you can double check that.

After checking the page URL you shared earlier I can see you have a plugin called “wordkeeper-speed” in the “must use plugins” folder under “/wp-content/mu-plugins/” directory. This plugin includes an option called “lazyload” it defers loading images till the page loads completely. If I were you I would deactivate this option first then re-check this issue.

Thanks.

Hi Alaa,

Thanks for the note. I’ll bring this up with the hosting provider.

I’ve also updated the PW for the admin login above, not sure why the original wasn’t working. I’ve retested and should be OK!

Thanks,

Alaa,

Just had our host toggle this option and it resolved the problem.

I really appreciate the quick reply and help in isolating this issue.

Our host is working on a longer-term plugin fix to address this problem.

Thank you!

Glad to hear that.
