Essential Grid - No Instagram, but some weird warning

So yesterday, I got a phone call saying the site was down, and I kept getting a 505 error, went into the FTP, downloaded the error sheet, and the cause was essential grid…
Somehow, I could still get into the dashboard, so I did the plugin updates and the theme update (just X, not on Pro).

And that seemed to fix the problem. However, where I had essential grid on my homepage (at the bottom) I found these errors instead the instagram feed.

"Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/daviesco/public_html/kasotaeastcamp.org/wp-content/plugins/essential-grid/includes/external-sources.class.php on line 1109
Instagram reports: Please check the settings"

I’ve left it up for you guys to take a look at what could possibly be going wrong. I would love some help on this, as the instagram feed is a pretty important role on our camp website.

Thanks!
Tara

hi There,

Thanks for writing in!

I can see you have only one Grid created, and this hasn’t published yet too.
I am not sure if you have done it intentionally or something else.

Please finish the Instagram grid and publish it, after that add it to the page. if you still have the issue we will look on to it.

Thanks

Hi There,

I appreciate the response. Before this error happened, that was still set as “draft” and the feed worked just fine, until I did the update a few days ago. However, because you said this would help, I set it live, and still… nothing. Error still remains.

From what I understand you use “ess grid example posts” to save images or content to create the feed in Essential Grid if you’re not feeding blog posts or pages or other content already created. So I’m not really sure how I would set up an actual instagram feed in the "“ess grid example posts” when there is no way to do so…which is why I assumed I just set up the instagram feed in the actual “Ess. Grid” further down the dashboard menu.

From the start of using Essential Grid, I have always just set up my essential grid feeds in the “Ess Grid” on the bottom left menu on the dash. I have never set up anything in"ess grid example posts" (Please see screengrab for reference: https://www.dropbox.com/s/b8c4nk79of4z3f3/insta.jpg?dl=0

So I would love some help on fixing this situation. It seems to be an on going error amongst the X community, and I hope you guys can figure out what is going on.

Thx,
Tara

Hi Tara,

Essential grid 2.2.4 is available via automatic updates - that should sort out the Instagram API issue. Please let us know if the issue persists. Thank you.

YAY!! It worked! Thanks Jade! Have a great weekend!!

Glad to hear it’s sorted, Tara.

Have a nice weekend as well.
