I have created my own Post Grid Layout in Essential Grid and added Social Icons. There are only 3 dedicated Sharing Options for Icons (Share on FB, Twitter and Pinterest) selectable inside Essential Grid.
I want to add a “share on LinkedIN” icon. Of course I can generate a Shared Link but then I have to do it every time on a new post so an automatic solution like the one already implemented would be awesome.
Is there a chance to solve my problem?
Thank you very much!
Can you share your page URL with GRID so we can see your setup. It can be added on the skin so no need to add it per post. See this guide on how to edit essential grid contents.
Hi Lely,
of course: Here is a link: https://www.domogran.de/blog/. Inside the Blog Post teaser at the bottom you can see a grey Facebook and Twitter Share Icon. These two Icons were easy to implement cause there are dedicated Link options inside the Skin editor. I know how to add an icon but how do I add “Share on LinkedIN” to an Icon? It seems there are only 3 sharing options for FB, Twitter and Pinterest.
Thank you!
Please note that the support we provide for the bundled plugins is for its basic setup provided that the features come native with the plugins and for bug fixes is the bundled plugin produces and incompatibility issue with Pro.
In this case, Essential Grid only has 3 social share options out of the box. It goes beyond our support extending its functionality which is to add another social share option. You will have to get in touch with the plugin author regarding the addition of the feature you are trying to add.
If you do not have other options, you can make use of the default blog that comes with Pro but you will have to slightly customize it in order for the post items to look like your current blog page.
The default display of the blog page for Pro does not have the social share options for the post items but you can easily add the social share options by following the suggestion from this related thread:
As what you can see, you will have to use the Entry Share shortcode that comes native in Pro which includes the Share on LinkedIn option.
