Essential grid masonry excerpt covers image

Hi there,

Somehow when using grid layout Masonry, the excerpt which is not placed in the content field, it (partially) covers the image. (When using grid layout Even this doesn’t happen)

Could you please help?

Hey @MeesterOntwerpers,

Thanks for reaching out!

I check the page but I wasn’t able to replicate the issue, the excerpt text is just showing fine at the bottom of the image. Please see the example screenshot below, if you are not seeing the same as the screenshot, I suspect that it has something to do with the cache. I suggest that you clear your browser cache or use the incognito mode.

Hope that helps.

Hello @marc_a

tnx, but that is not wat is happening here in your screenshot.
The excerpt is covering the images at the bottom, for example, this is an original image

.
You can also check in the media library…
I would like for the excerpt to appear below the image

Looking forward to your reply!

Hello @MeesterOntwerpers,

You need to edit your Grid settings and must select “Masonry”:

You also need to edit your Grid Skin and use the Even Grid layout so that the excerpt will display below the image or media cover:

If you are not familiar with the Essential Grid Skin editor, please check out this documentation first:

Best Regards.

hi @ruenel

Thanks but I’ve been thru that manual and is not how I want the lay-out to appear.
I want to keep the masonry layout where item size vertically depend on how much content and size/dimensions of the photo. Is it not possible to have the excerpt not cover the photo?

Hi @MeesterOntwerpers,

Unfortunately, what you are expecting is not possible.

Thanks

Hmm… that’s not the reply I was expecting

Hi @MeesterOntwerpers,

Unfortunately, that is what I currently tell you about it.
