Hi, I have used EG on the home page, and used an excerpt title for the title of each grid image.
I have added an individual link to each item (grid image) and that works. I basically want each grid item to click to the product it’s product gallery.
If you click the image, it goes to the link I have set it to.
If you click the title (which is set from the except in the post) it goes to the grid page - which I don’t want.
How can I link the title (excerpt) individually?
Many thanks Kim
the site is http://glassdirectaustralia.com.au/
Hi Kim,
When I checked, the image and the title have the same link. All links goes to this page: http://glassdirectaustralia.com.au/gallerybalustrades/. Can you give us sample URL on where you want it to link? Then also share your admin credentials on a secure note so we can check your grid skins.
Sorry, should have said, the notes I put in secure note have the link to each grid item and where it should link to. Thanks you Kim
Hi Kim,
Thank you for the clarification. I can see you have added a specific URL that is why it is going on the same link and not on each post. See this guide: https://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cbjFIKlsgs
Hope this helps.
Hi, Thanks but no it doesn’t help. If I choose to link to post, it goes to the Essential Grid post. I don’t want that.
I have set each EG item to go to it’s corresponding gallery, as per my previous email. Here are the important points.
If you click the image of the essential grid post, you go to the gallery as I have set it. That is exactly what I want.
BUT, if you click the title, it goes to the essential grid post, which i don’t want. I want it to go to the product gallery, as the image does.
That’s what I need help with. Linking each title to go to it’s product gallery, as per the links I sent in the secure note. Can you help me do that please?
Thanks Kim
Hi, I’ve done it another way - by redirecting the EG posts. Thanks anyway Kim
Hi Kim,
Glad you have figure this out and I am sorry I misunderstand the issue. Although, I think what you need exactly is linking to custom URL. See this guide look for #2 link to custom URL.
