Essential Grid - INSTA skin hover issue

Hi there,

I have an EG setup on this staging site: https://tomgeorge.ethermedia.hu/
The EG is an instra stream, but if you hover over the element, it appears for one moment, then dissappears.
Everything is updated, I tried testing for a plugin conflict, but none so far. Increased the servers resources, no avail.

Any ideas what might be the cause of this?

Hello @Pbalazs89,

Thanks for writing to us.

I checked your website Dashboard, It seems that the Essential Grid skin you are using to display the Instagram feed is deprecated in the new version of WordPress and plugin because of that it is not working.

I have created a new grid and set different skin there it is working fine. Please have look at the screenshot given below.

This Grid is been assigned to a new page called “Test” page. Please the page URL in a secure note.

Thanks

Hi again,

Thanks for checking.
Alright, I can get behind it deprecating but this grid has another issue. The covering layer extends over the item making it look sort of goofy. When looking at the original skin, this doesn’t happen.

Here’s a screenshot of what I mean:

Is there a simple fix in the skin builder for this?

Thanks!

Hey @Pbalazs89,

I switched to the parent theme and the issue is gone so the cause of the issue is coming from the child theme. Please review or consult with a third party developer to check the custom codes in your child theme.

Please include the parent theme switch when you do troubleshooting next time so that you’ll know where the issue is coming from. You can learn all the troubleshooting steps here https://theme.co/docs/common-issues

Hope that helps.

Thank you for your help.
I managed to figure it out. It was a CSS issue with scaling the container on other pages.
Sorry for troubling you! I should I have tried the theme change earlier. That pinpointed the issue right there.

You’re welcome, @Pbalazs89. Glad we’re able to help.
