Essential grid image filter

hi i am creating a filterable image gallery in Essential Grid plugin.
in order to filter the images, i need to add a filter name in the metadata of each image but I discovered that since my image filter tags are in Hebrew it doesn’t filter them and seems to work only in English,

i played around a bit more and what happens is that in Hebrew it only allows for one category to appear hiding the other categories, while in english it works fine. and yes i did turn RTL on.

please can you help
i need an image gallery with a filter by categories. if you have a different solution would love to hear.

Hey Amir,

The RTL option only relates to layout. This issue might be related to character encoding. If you’re using utf8 , try changing to utf8_general_ci. Here’s the guide.

As an alternative, you might want to use a true faceted interface like what’s offered in a plugin like FacetWP. It’s a third party plugin though so usage instructions and questions must be forwarded to the plugin’s support.

hi i think this is a bug and not a Unicode issue since it works fine with posts and categories. i would appreciate if you could direct my issue to the plugin support.
