Essential Grid - HTML5 video in lightbox not playing

Hi all, I have an issue with the most recent version of Essential Grid, bundled with Pro.
It was playing all of the HTML5 videos in lightbox before, but not its not when you click on them.

Looking all over the net for solutions and here in the forums, to no avail. Any help would be appreciated!

Hey @visionary,

This looks like a new bug in Essential Grid. I have replicated the issue in my test site. I’ll post this in our issue tracker.

For now, please consider using The Grid.

UPDATE: After enabling the JS To Footer, only the Youtube video works inside the lightbox on my end so that would be another alternative. I get the same issue with HTML 5 like yours.

The Grid doesn’t allow you to use HTML5, no? Haven’t seen that option.

Hi visionary,

You can do the following to get HTML5 videos play in Lightbox in the Grid plugin:

  • Select WordPress posts as your Grid source.
  • Limit the posts by category filter (optional).
  • Enable “Video Ligthbox” option under under the Grid media settings.
  • Create new post under that custom category (the optional step), and choose the video file as in this screenshot:
