Essential Grid - How to populate based on current post's category?

I’d like to build a grid to display on portfolio item posts, which shows other posts with the same category (or tag) as the post currently being viewed. I presume this can be done using ‘additional parameters’ in the grid builder, but I have no idea how. I would appreciate your help please.

There’s no option in the Essential Grid to display related posts based on the same category or tags in the portfolio item posts. This option will require customization and custom development to do. Regretfully, customization is outside the scope of our theme support. You may seek 3rd party developers to help you with your problems or you can avail One where we can answer questions outside of the features of our theme.

This seems to be the standard response for most of my requests lately. No, it doesn’t help.

Hi Dan,

The Grid plugin does not have an option to show the related post based on the category or tag, and that is why my colleague has suggested the above options. We are really sorry that it does not help.
