Essential Grid - Deep Linking

Hi,

i am using a onepage layout with an essential grid.
Now i want to link to a specific category in the essential grid.
If i enable deep linking, it shows only the matching items in the essential grid but it starts on top of the page.
I want the link to scroll down to the essential grid and show only the selected categroy.
The menu items do all have an ID in the Cornerstone setup area and this ID is in the Menu-link.

Is this possible?

Thank you very much for your great support!

Hi Vanessa,

Thank you for writing in, please see the following link.

Essential Grid Deep Linking

Hope it helps,
Cheers!

I activated deep linking in the settings but it uses the same #id in the url like the #id i use for onepage layout. can i use two #ids in the url? one for the essential grid category and one for the onepage menu?

Hi There,

It’s not possible. You can take a look at this artcile for more information:

Regards!

Too bad… Is there another solution for this problem?
Is it possible to link the onePage navigation in another way?

Hi Vanessa,

Unfortunately, it’s not currently possible. But could be doable with custom development related to javascript. Like use single ID, but that single ID contains sub ID and use javascript to split them (eg. #MainHash_SectionHash_GridHash). Then do the scrolling or focus through javascript. I recommend contacting a developer for this, and I’m not sure if it’s fully doable.

Thanks!

Hi Rad, do you have developers for such things in your team?
How much do you think will it cost?

Hi Vanessa,

We do have an in-house custom development team that offer paid services, who may be able to assist. They can be contacted at pinnacle@theme.co if this is of interest to you. But I have no clue about the pricing, I recommend contacting them

Thanks!

Thanks! I will send them an Email

Are you sure its the right mail adress? I get an Mail Delivery Error :disappointed_relieved:

Hi Vanessa,

Apologies for the confusion but we no longer take on minor customisation work, hence why that email address isn’t working.

There is a user-run Facebook group that may contain developers willing to assist. It is not run by us so we cannot make specific recommendations, but it may be a starting point for you. The link to the group is https://www.facebook.com/groups/ThemecoUsers/.

Hope this helps.

I do not have an facebook account. :disappointed_relieved:
Thanks anyway for your help.

You’re most welcome!
