Hello Alan,
Thanks for writing to us.
To make posts as the sticky post you don’t need “Essential Grid”. Please check out the give steps below.
Quick Edit

Update
button.Thanks
Thanks for getting back to me.
I should have specified that I am using Essential Grid to display my posts and although I have marked the post as ‘sticky’ it doesn’t show up as sticky in Essential Grid.
So I really need to have a way of having posts show up a sticky in Essential Grid.
Hey Alan,
In case of Essential Grid, please follow this thread Sticky posts in Essential Grid to make the post sticky in Essential Grid.
Hope this helps!
Ahh I see. I thought it would as easy as selecting a preference button to make it recognise a post as sticky.
I did try the solution on the link however it doesn’t seem to have worked. This may be due to my technical limitations though.
I think I’ll uninstall Essential grid and try and find another solution.
All the best
Alan
Hi Alan,
In terms of Sticky
posts, Essential Grid
shows it as WordPress archive shows.
In Essential Grid settings you need to select the post and if needed the category, and the grid will show all the posts along with the sticky posts.
In addition to that, Essential Grid, have the option to add the additional parameter to filter the source of posts, through which you can set the specific post and all.
Hope it will help you.
Thanks
Thanks for your time and the further information. I’ll see if I can use the additional parameters section to get the sticky posts to stick.
Hi Alan,
Let us know how it goes and if you have any other concern just reach us and we will be happy answering your questions.
Thank you.
Hi there. I managed to get the functionality I wanted by installing a plugin call ‘Sticky Posts - Switch’ and without any other changes to the Essential Grid settings, Essential Grid now recognises sticky posts and pins them to the top of my blog post feed.
All the best
Alan
Hi Alan,
Great to know that you are able to resolve it.
Thanks
