Essential Grid and Slider Revolution Conflict

Hi Support,

I’m currently building a site offline and I’m near ready to go live however I can see that there is a conflict between the two plugins packaged with X. The plugins in question are slider revolution and Essential Grid both appearing on my homepage. The plugin effected by the conflict is Rev Slider.

I have reported this problem near the launch of X Pro when building another site previously but I found a work around by not using essential grid and using the Grid instead. I was advised by X support via email that this would be temporary and you would advise the plugin author and work with them to iron out any issues.

Unfortunately they’re still not playing well with each other and I’ve based the design of this site using the function of both. I can see in another thread that you have advised to match the same settings in essential grid to rev slider as they have the same author. I have tried this to no avail.

Is there anything else you can suggest that could help this situation? I really need them working harmoniously but Rev slider becomes stubborn particularly on a mobile device where layers end up missing and the placeholder image sometimes doesn’t load.

The staging site is listed below along with credentials if needs be. I’m not uploading a screenshot because I can’t show you what isn’t there if you know what I mean. Deactivate the essential grid plugin and you will see how it is supposed to function on the homepage. Reactivate it and you will see the text missing and the youtube video occasionally loading on the big screen. On a mobile device the top white text reading “train” is not there.

I hope you can help.

Hi there,

Thanks for writing in.

Upon checking previous issues, I remember forwarding the same issue to our developer though it’s from different thread and users. Though I haven’t heard about it yet, I also did some checking on my end and I don’t see any issues, which is probably the case on our developer sides too. Hence, would be harder to pin down the issue.

Would you mind helping me recalling this issue? What the issue you’re having on your site at this moment? The slider and grid are working fine.

But I do see javascript errors from your site, our theme uses Modernzr library in which overridden by another Modernzr library from your plugin. The culprit is the Woo Floating Cart Lite, and because of this some functionality of the theme is not working, I went ahead and deactivated it.

Thanks!

If anyone else has this problem - likely everyone! Waste no more time - the conflict was real and found by another theme user.
PS. the woo floating cart is fully compatible with the X theme since I spoke to the author.

Glad to see you found a solution.

Thanks!

I’m sorry you guys failed to find one after many months of asking.

Thanks!

The site is now live on it’s actual domain name and upon checking on a samsung android device there still seems to be some missing layers on the revolution slider. All layers appear to be showing on a desktop.

All plugins were temporarily disabled so can’t find the culprit.

I’m about as experienced as you get using this slider and all slide settings are indeed correct.

I kind of ruled out cloudflare due to it working well on a desktop.

Could I get a 2nd opinion on viewing via a mobile device vs a desktop browser as I’m intermittently losing some very lightweight text over my video cover image?

Many Thanks

Hi there,

Thank you for giving the information on the live website. I checked the site with iPhone SE and Samsung S8 and I could not reproduce the problem you gave the screenshot of.

I am not sure why you are getting that issue, it might be something related to old version of the Android maybe? Try to check the slider with other mobile phones, please.

Also, to make sure that there will be no possible jQuery library conflict I enabled the No Conflict mode in the Revolution Slider for you:

Thank you.

That’s a handy setting for many people that seem to be pulling their hair out regarding Rev Slider as I believe it is actually working now.

Thanks for that.

You’re welcome.
