Essential Grid Advanced Settings for Columns is really confusing, I can't get it to display correctly on a mobile!

Hi, I’m using Essential Grid to display team members on a page and I’ve contacted yourselves previously to ask for help on how to get the column heights all the same and you told me how to do it in the Advanced Settings for Columns. the thing it, it’s not displaying correctly on a mobile, as it’s still showing 4 columns on a row! I’ve looked on ThemePunch documentation for it, but it’s no clearer and not much help to be honest. I just want to be able to change the amount of columns displayed on various mobile devices and I can’t believe how difficult this is to do!

Hope you can help!

Thanks!

Hey @core365,

Are the Mobile columns set to 4? If they’re set to 1 or 2 like in the screenshot below, please give us access to your WordPress Admin so we could replicate your setup and see if this is a bug.

Thanks.

Hi, yep, they are set up the same as in your screenshot. I’ll put the login details in a secure note for you.

Thanks!

There are 2 factors which made the grid not to work our seem to malfunction.

  1. You have caching installed and every time I make a change, I needed to clear cache, close the page and view in incognito.
  2. Your Breakpoint at Grid Width are too small.

I’ve set your Our Team grid like this and it works. The Breakpoint at Grid Width are actually screen widths you wish the columns to take effect.

Please try with your other grids below the Our Team grid. I’d recommend that you disable caching when you’re working on your site. Caching also slows down our response time which is not good for all of us.

Thanks.

Hi, thanks for looking into it and sorting that! No one from your team has ever said before about disabling the cache when they’ve had access to the admin to look into something, so I’ll bear that in mind.

Thanks!

You’re most welcome!
