Ess Grid can't import

Hi,

This took a long time for me to get back to. Apologies for that.

My issue has not been resolved. perhaps it’s an issue with the site that I am exporting Essential Grid content from. Anyway, I am still not able to import the json file into my development site without an ajax error.

Thanks for writing in.

Please provide the files you’re trying to import, maybe the issue is with that file and it’s corrupted or with wrong format. I may try that as well in my installation just to confirm if it’s file related.

Thank you for providing the JSON file. I checked that on my installation and it worked with no problem and imported grids with no problem and with no Ajax error:

This shows that it may be something related to your development environment and server settings which prevents the Ajax call to access the destination.

I suggest that you move your WordPress installation to another server or a local machine and test the case there.

Hmmm, this is very odd. I tried the same import with two other, unrelated sites, on a different server, and I still get the ajax error.

So it doesn’t import on Dreamhost, or Siteground. The other two sites have little uncommon with the original site, except X-Theme and Pro.

Hello @djguitar,

I also tried importing the json file on my MAMP setup and a development environment that I have setup on Digital Ocean and it’s importing without any issues. It certainly looks like the issue is with your development setup and it’s not something related with the plugin per se. My recomendation would be to get in touch with the hosting provider and see if they can help you to resolve the problem.
