Errors Impleneting Pro

Hey there. I just started up my new website and I needed to use theme x to import the demo content for Renew 8 which went well how ever when I changed back to the pro theme the entire site broke and I couldn’t access it anymore.

I reached out to wpengine and they reverted the site back to X for me and told me to contact you guys in here with the errors the technician was seeing.

Here is a copy of what he send me:

Does this mean anything to anyone? I don’t know what or why it’s happening.

What if yu don’t have the technical skill to upload and change FTP settings?

Hi @ThomasInAction,

In that case, you can also use your hosting’s file manager to manage your files. It should be the same since you’ll be work on files just like you manage your files on your PC

FTP is just a way to access files remotely from your hosting, accessing it depends on your hosting but the easier one is just using the file manager. For that, I recommend contacting your hosting provider for proper guidance. You may check this https://b2evolution.net/web-hosting/blog/tutorials/ftp-101 as well.

Yeah, everything you just said still makes no sense to me.

Shouldn’t it just be as easy as updated the theme? I mean really.

Hi @ThomasInAction,

Base on the error you show above its clear that Cornerstone and Pro have been activated at the same time. That causes conflict.

Remember that in PRO the Content Builder is built-in so it would be redundant if you have the Cornerstone plugin active when you’re using PRO, hope that make sense.

Now to resolve this, please log in to your server via FTP or your cPanel’s File Manager and navigate to /wp-content/plugins/ find the cornerstone folder, then either rename it to something or delete it.

If you don’t have any access to either FTP or cPanel’s File Manager, please contact your hosting support again to assist you in deleting the said cornerstone folder.
