Errors after upgrading to 4.04

Hey there. Suddenly seeing a bunch of errors after upgrading to 4.04 from 3.xx.

Trying to edit any page you just get “This element failed to render…” across the page.

Hey Brent,

Please give us the following information in a Secure Note so we could check what’s causing the issue.

• WordPress Login URL
• Admin username and password
• FTP details (ask your web host if you’re not familiar with this)

Added secure note. Thanks. Set up a duplicate staging site for you. We had to roll Pro back to 3.x.x to continue on schedule with the client.

Hey Brent,

Thank you for providing the credentials. I went ahead and purged all the cache first and then deactivated all plugins to check for a plugin conflict.

After deactivating all plugins, pages were loading fine in the content builder without any errors. Now you know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

Also make sure to update your theme to the latest point release i.e v4.0.8

Well, we will test and see, but there is not a single plug-in for that site we can go without, so a bit of a moot point for now. We’ll keep 3.2.3. in production and run tests with 4.0.8 until we can figure out what’s going on. Thanks.

Just test everything in your staging area and once there’s no more problem in your website, you can now update your production to the latest version.
