Error when updating x theme

Hi there,
I have updated the x theme and the cornerstone plugin for the website www.yourboatholiday.com
When i have updated cornerstone from the version 1.6 (or something similar) to the latest version, the website brake down.
Then i made a backup restore from the hosting provider (Siteground).

Now the website is back but with the following errors and also i can’t access anymore to the dashboard and wp-admin:

Now my question is: can i update cornerstone to the new version or i have to mantain the previous version of cornerstone to not break the website?

Before making the update, we used both Cornerstone (Version 1) and Visual Composer.

Please be so kind to help us as soon as possible, thanks for your assistance.

Hi @Giuligiuli,

If your X version is updated to the latest version, try to login through FTP then go to wp-content/plugins then delete the current cornerstone directory that is in there.

Once deleted, go back to the wordpress admin area and Cornerstone should be automatically installed with the updated version.

In case it did not install, try manually installing it in the admin area.

Let us know how it goes.

i think i don’t have the last version beacause i’ve made a backup from yesterday when i got the first problems with cornerstone, so now i can’t access and i think i have installed the x version 3.6.

can i proceed with your instructions also in this case?
what u can suggest ?

Hi there,

Yes, you may proceed doing the previous suggestion although please note that there is a new update for X and Cornerstone that were just released so kindly make sure to update X first then proceed with the other steps.

the only think is that after the update the pages built in Visual Composer are not working properly, like the home yourboatholiday.com ( integrity demo )
there is something i can do to fix this ?

Please navigate to WPBakery Page Builder Settings > General Settings and make sure “Legacy X Integration” is enabled. A common request we get is to not overwrite parts of the WPBakery Page Builder. We are committed to keeping supporting sites from the early days of X where Visual Composer was our page builder but we’ve consolidated all that integration code under one setting. It used to be enabled by default, but you will now need to opt-in to use it.

Then clear any caching plugin/feature and your browser’s cache.
