Error when trying to activate ”The Grid” in theme X

I get this error message when I am trying to activate the extension ”The Grid” (see attached image).
I have the latest versions of X – I recently installed the theme. I install ”The Grid” through your Validation page in WP, and then try to activate it on the Plugins page when I get the error message.

Thanks for writing in! Most probably you’re running an older version of PHP on your server which cause this error. To find out, you can install this plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-serverinfo/) and then head over to Dashboard -> WP-Serverinfo to see the PHP version.

If you’re using anything below v5.6.x, you can ask your hosting provider to update your PHP version.

If not, try-installing the plugin and see if that helps.

It was an old PHP version that caused the problem. After updating, it now works.
