Error when activating plugins (cannot modify header information)

Receiving this error when I try to install any plug-in:

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/stevedonnelly/fitteacherproject/wp-includes/functions.php:3729) in /home/stevedonnelly/fitteacherproject/wp-content/plugins/wp-simple-pay-pro-3/includes/core/libraries/wp-session/class-wp-session.php on line 146

I’ve taken a look at line 3729 in my functions.php file:

		ob_end_flush();

from this function:

function wp_ob_end_flush_all() {
	$levels = ob_get_level();
	for ($i=0; $i<$levels; $i++)
		ob_end_flush();
}

Anyone have a guess as to what’s going on here?

Thanks for writing in.

That’s a Wordpress core file, and there should be no problem with that.

The issue is with the plugin you’re activating, you should contact the plugin author to investigate it. It looks like it’s trying to set some header information or session in wrong time, it should be done before Wordpress could respond to browser request (serving of the output).
