Error on HomePage

There’s an image posted on my main page and it is displaying a code that is visible on the live site. I have gone on the backend to attempt to remove it without any luck. Please help. Tks.

Hi There,

Thank you for writing in, navigate to WPBakery Page Builder Settings > General Settings and make sure “Legacy X Integration” is enabled. A common request we get is to not overwrite parts of the WPBakery Page Builder. We are committed to keeping supporting sites from the early days of X where Visual Composer was our page builder but we’ve consolidated all that integration code under one setting. It used to be enabled by default, but you will now need to opt-in to use it.

Then clear any caching feature and your browser’s cache.

Hope it helps,
Cheers!

Once I did this now the page is not aligned and I still have codes showing up. Please see below. Tks!

Hi @Kpan3,

From which version have you upgraded your theme from? I can still see the X shortcodes plugin which is a bit old, I assume the content was built from that version?

And within the WPBakery builder, elements are still displayed as a shortcode so the integration isn’t probably taking effect. How about setting up a staging and we can test it there to make sure there is no caching (since it’s in Godaddy).

Thanks!

Ok, what do I need to do??

Hi @Kpan3,

Please check the links below on how to setup a staging site:

You may also try getting in touch with your host as they might be able to help you setup the staging site.

Once you’re able to get the staging site up, please provide us with the admin access to your site in a Secure Note:

Thank you.

Ok, I will get this started but before I do can you at least see why the site is now not centered. The feature areas on the homepage were centered before all of this and now they are not. I cannot have my site look like this. Please help. Tks.

Hi There,

There was an unexpected closing shortcode(vc_column, vc_row, …) in your home.

I’ve already removed it, everything should be fine now.

Next time, you should not switch to the Classic Mode, just use the Backend Editor of WPBakery Builder plugin:

Cheers!

Great tks so much!!

Everything looks good, however, this feature area is still not centered like it was before…

Hi There,

Please inspect that Content Band and turn on the Inner Container option.
