Error "Layout and Design"

Hello! I have one trouble with setting “Layout and Design”. When I tried to set “Content/sidebar” (now is “fullwight”), my site (kinemotor.pro) has crushed - “The critical error has occured on the site”.

Why is this happening?

Thanks for reaching out.
It seems that you are still using an older version of the X theme and Cornerstone i.e. 8.1.5, I would suggest you update the X theme to its latest version i.e. 8.3.3 by following the below steps while updating the X theme and the Cornerstone and check if that issue still exists.

1. Delete the Cornerstone existing one
2. Update the X theme to the latest version i.e. 8.3.3
3. After deletion of the Cornerstone, please use the link in the dashboard to automatically install the Cornerstone.

I don’t see the “Updates” in the left menu.

Hi @Kirillborisov,

If you are not able to see the Automatic update option, please deactivate and delete the X theme and then re-install the updated version by downloading from your Themeco account dashboard. Please remember to follow the below process before you update the theme.

1. Delete the existing Cornerstone plugin
2. After the X theme is updated, use the link in the dashboard to automatically install the Cornerstone. It will be at the latest version

If I bought the theme on Envato Market, I need to do the same things?

You can get the updated theme from the Envato or Themeco Account.

If I delete the theme and donwnload the new one (the same Theme X), all the information and elements will be safed in the same form on the site?

It will not affect anything else if you have modified the parent theme files.
