Error Cornerstone on a new website: cacheing, plugin?

Hi to all,

I’ve bought “X - The Theme” but doesn’t work.
When I use Cornestone to edit the homepage appears the error message:

The preview was unresponsive after loading. This is most often related to a plugin conflict or aggressive page cacheing.

Preview URL: http://www.mysite.com

The only 3 plugin active are:

• Cornestone + Revolution Slider (they are necessary for the theme)
• Coming Soon Page & Maintenance Mode by SeedProd (I’ve try to deactivate it but same error message)

The Wordpress release it’s the last downloaded yesterday.

I’ve searched on online forums and I’ve edited wp config:

define( ‘WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘256M’ );

But nothing.

So I’ve called my hosting (Siteground) and the answer is:
you can take your time troubleshooting the issue and the best course of action I can advise is to contact the plugin developers/ support as the issue is not related to the server and from our side we have increased the PHP and WP memory to 768 > flushed the server cache and therefore disabled the cache for that website ONLY as per your request and since you still see the error, that means it has nothing to do with the server and you will need to contact the plugin support for further assistance

How can I fix the error?

Hi Andrew,

Please check for the following as well:

• Make sure that you have everything updated to the latest version especially for X and Cornerstone. You can find more info about the support versions of X and its bundled plugins here.

• If you are still seeing an issue, please try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

If the issue persists, please provide us with your admin access in a secure note so that we can check your site.

Hi Jade,

The issue persists.
Wordpress, X Theme and Cornerstone are all in the newest version.
As I told you there are only 3 plugins (two are for the theme and another is a Maintenance mode deactivable).
I’ve done all in my possibilities.

Thanks for the details!
The cornerstone is working fine, I can able to edit the pages, also new pages are editable with cornerstone width-out the specified issue.
Please check the screenshot.
Can you please try editing the pages in a separate browser or system.
