Envira Pro License

I just looked this up and found this thread: Upgraded to Pro Envira Gallery but cannot validate license

I’d like to know why you hid the License Field? Is there an issue caused by filling it in with a valid license??

Hello @lorax,

Thanks for writing in! it has been explained in our documentation here:

Cheers.

Thanks @ruenel.
I’m sorry but your answer is not quite what I need. I’m not your average user. I want to understand how you integrate Envira Gallery and the differences/impact of installing the pro version and using it in place of/along side with the integrated code. While most of your users/purchasers may not care, there are some of us who are quite cognoscente of the implications and potential impacts of our configurations and settings choices. You have a great product here in Pro but those of us that need to use it to it’s fullest capability would appreciate a more detailed and technical roadmap/explanation of how Envira is integrated and what our limits are. Think of it as a function spec.

Hello Lorax,

The Envira Gallery bundled in the theme is the basic package as you can check here: https://enviragallery.com/pricing/

We did not modify anything on the plugin except for hiding the plugin license registration (as per the plugin creators’ advice) to avoid confusion for the users. We are the ones who will provide the plugin updates hence, there is no need to register. All the functions and features of the basic package can be fully utilized when you use the plugin.

Hope this explains it briefly. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply @ruenel. It doesn’t quite explain what I’m getting at or perhaps I’m not understanding.

You noted, you’ve included Envira Basic but without modification. I have installed Envira Pro - which has features I need that Basic does not. By installing the Pro version of Envira, do I now have two versions of Envira installed? Will they work without stepping on each other or creating other issues? The recommended way of upgrading to Envira Pro is to uninstall the Basic version. Can I - should I - do this?

Hi Gregg,

Yes, you can uninstall the basic Envira plugin and install your Envira Pro. It should work as normal and you can also directly ask questions to the Enivra support if you encounter any problem because you have the license.

Hope that helps.
