Envira Gallery Different Image Sizes

Hi. I’ve been using Envira Gallery but I have a couple of questions that I can’t find the answer to anywhere.

  1. on this page: https://thebiscuitclub.com.au/corporate/ if you scroll down to the “Logo” section you can see the size of the images is different, yet in every other gallery (such as https://thebiscuitclub.com.au/animals/) the images are all the same size. I cannot figure out how I made the Logo Gallery different sizes and I’d like to be able to replicate it on other pages.

  2. The images on my mobile are distorted. I’ve messed around with the mobile section of Envira Gallery, but to no avail.

  3. I’m getting the notice “No valid license key has been entered, so automatic updates for Envira Gallery have been turned off. Please click here to enter your license key and begin receiving automatic updates.” Will this be fixed in the next update?

Many thanks for your help.

Hey L-J,

  1. The reason why your Logo section is different is that you have images with different aspect ratios. That means that images in other galleries are all square while your Logo gallery is a mix of square, horizontal (landscape) and vertical (portrait) rectangle images. Under the Configuration tab, try setting the Image Size or Image Dimensions then enable Crop Images.
  2. I checked your site on my phone and images are looking great. Would you mind providing a screenshot? If you’re using image optimization plugins like Smush, please try deactivating them or at least deactivate their lazy loading feature as that’s currently known to cause issues with Envira Gallery.
  3. This is normal for plugins that are bundled in a theme. This just serves as a reminder that support of the plugin must be handled by the theme developer which is us in this case.

Thanks.

Hi @christian_y

Thanks so much for your reply.

  1. The odd thing thought is that when I look at the configuration tab in Logo it is EXACTLY THE SAME as all the other galleries. That’s why I can’t figure out what is happening!

  2. I’m using https://tinypng.com as advised by one of your colleagues (cf: https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/homepage-images-not-showing-on-mobile-site/64573).

The images here look distorted compared to on my computer https://thebiscuitclub.com.au/books-more/
3. Oh ok.

thanks again.

Hi @Lacey,

1.) It might be because of the following settings too:

2.) The issue might be quality plus envira lazy loading function. When the image shrink on mobile, it is not clear. Specially this one: https://thebiscuitclub.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/983C7F63-62E1-4AEC-8D48-BADCF4FD49E1-1024x1024.jpg. Try to use quality image and disable the following option on Envira:

Hope this helps.
