Envira gallery accidental overwrite

Hello team,

I did a ****up yesterday and I imported a gallery, thinking I would be adding to the existing gallery, but instead I have overwriten the extensive gallery that was already there… I did a lot of work on the site yesterday before this and do not want to do an entire backup install. Is there any way I could undo what I did? All I need is the .json file, and I do have updraft backups, but I cannot find this file in my plugin folder. Do you have any ideas? You could save me many hours of rebuilding… Thank you for giving this a hard think.

Or perhaps could it work if I upload the backup of the envira gallery plugin folder through ftp and replace the once that is there? I just want to make sure I do not make my ****up even bigger…

EDIT: I just tried this with a staging site, it does not work, I still have the ovewritten gallery there, which means the gallery data is not stored inside the plugin folder but somewhere else… Could you please enlighten me?

Hi @Tierramitica,

Thanks for reaching out.
Replacing the Envira Gallery plugin from backup might create a problem. I would suggest you restore the whole site from the last backup taken when the Envira Gallery was working.

Thanks
