Enable cornerstone editor on portfolio items

Hey there,

I’m trying to create the portfolio items by using the cornerstone editor and somehow the option to edit them with cornerstone is not visible.
I even enabled the option “portfolio” from cornetsone > settings > Permissions >Administrator > Portfolio.

Please help me with that and let me know if I’m doing something wrong.

Thanks.

Hi @klevur,

Thanks for reaching out.
I have checked the same and it worked perfectly fine. Just make sure that you have clicked on the Update button after enabling the Portfolio option. If that does not help, please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note to examine it further, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

Thanks

Hi @tristup

Thanks for your quick response and YES I did click the “update settings” button and still it won’t work.
I have attached the website’s credentials in the secure notes of this ticket. Please let me know if you need anything else.

Thanks.

Hi @tristup,

I just found the “Edit portfolio-item” through cornerstone option available here

Hey @klevur,

I suspect that you already figure it out, if not, please let us know. One more thing, before entering the website, it require us another credentials.

Thank you.

Hi @tristup

Indeed!
I have one more issue with Portfolio items though, the portfolio page templates are not available on the website.
I even went through all the portfolio settings and didn’t find anything related to the portfolio items’ templates.

I will appreciate it if you can help me with that as well.
Thanks

Hello @klevur,

It seems that the Portfolio page template is working fine, I went ahead and created a page called “Themeco Test” at your server and assign the page template as “Layout Portfolio”. It is displaying the portfolio post items. I have kept the test page in draft mode. Please have a look at the page URL in the secure note.

Thanks

hi @prakash_s

Thanks for writing back!
Yes, the portfolio layout on a page is working fine, however, my concern was about the layout of a portfolio item create through portfolios.
I tried adding one but the portfolio’s content is added into a container, instead of that I want to assign it a full page width.
Check this portfolio item I created in secure notes.

Thanks.

Hi @klevur,

In that case, you need to increase the container max width and site width from the Theme Options > Layout and Design, but you remember that it will affect the other pages/posts which using the default settings.

Hope it helps.

Hi @tristup

I tried this approach to change the content layout, but it didn’t work.
So, I had to override the portfolio-item layout in the child theme of the website and now it’s working as I required it to.
Thanks for helping.

Hi @klevur,

Glad that you are able to find a way for this.

Thanks
