Empty header from template and other header problems

Hi support. I just install Pro on a test development clone I have done from a site made with another theme. I am trying to create s sticky header. When I create the header, the newly created header is empty.

I have tried to deactivate all plugins and activate the main Pro theme.

I also tried to edit the Default header and if I change and save it, it goes empty too.

Thanks for the help

Hello @philippe,

Thanks for asking.

Please use the demo templates provided to start with header development if you are not comfortable with starting from scratch. Please see the screencast https://screencast.com/t/xTaxM7s313R

You can also watch our introductory header and footer builder video:

Thanks.

Hi @Prasant. I can see, edit and save the «demo» header you have ceated. But this is not solving my problem/bug. I have created «Sticky» yesterday, «bfdshgf» and «Sticky17-11-23» this morning, all from the «Sticky bars» template and they are empty. I can create a header from the Sticky bars template edit and save it on another PRO site with the same browser.

I own 11 licences of Pro and each of these site use custom header made from templates.

I will not Install Flash to see your screencast. Use a html 5 video tool please.

Hi,

Can you try re-installing your theme via ftp.

  1. Download theme from themeforest or forum dashboard
  2. Unzip pro.zip on your computer.
  3. Rename the pro folder to pro-new.
  4. Connect to your server via FTP and navigate to your /wp-content/themes/ directory.
  5. Drag and drop the pro-new folder into your themes directory.
  6. Upon completion, rename the previous pro folder to pro-previous.
  7. Rename pro-new to pro. Your site will now be at the latest version.
  8. Delete the pro-previous folder.
  9. Visit the WordPress dashboard at least once to ensure any migration logic can run (this happens behind the scenes).

If this doesn’t help, please provide FTP login in Secure Note

Thanks

Not working. By the fact, this was a clean new Pro installment.

Hi there,

It’s due HTML elements added to the content, try adding a blank header and add content area element, the header will be gone. That’s because content area element has HTML which is <span></span>. And of course, those header templates where you created your header from contains HTML too.

This doesn’t happen on any of our installation, something on your site is filtering it and blocking it, hence, the saved data is blank if it contains HTML. We’ll continue checking, this is a bit weird.

Thanks!

Thank you Rad. I have to work from a clean wordpress installation. Thanks.

Glad to hear it,

Cheers!
