Embed YouTube Controls

Hi! I have embedded a YouTube video onto a site I’m working on where is the video frame size is 16x4.5. I’m working with the client on this site and they have requested to remove controls and YouTube titles (and any related words) from the video. Their goal is to have the video be on looped auto-play.

I previously tried using the Player option and I was able to successfully hide the controls and have the video be on looped auto-play. However, due to the video’s frame size there was a black background that added padding to the top and bottom of the video. The client didn’t want the padding.

Is there a way to achieve the Player option with the controls hidden and be on looped auto-play with the Embed option AND hide the YouTube title and related words?

** For the YouTube title and related words I would say that wouldn’t be possible due to copyright, API calls, and backend details that enable us to connect in the first place but I would still like to ask just in case. Thank you!

Hey Vanessa,

Regretfully, there is no option video controls option for the Video Embed type and it’s not recommended to use the Video Player element for embedded videos. That will have issues and we don’t support that as the Player is not intended for that use.

If you own the video, I’d recommend that you self-host it or upload it to your server. That way, you can use the Video Player type.

Hope that helps.
