Email sign up form works partially

I created an neweletter sign up form with the email form plugin that comes with x there. In that plugin it say that it should display a message “Thanks, you have been subscribed”.
But on my page it does not do this. Only the button becomes red and vague.

The functionality actually works, so the person is signed up. It is just the way it looks.
