Hey @arnoldmeulenbeld,
Email links uses ‘mailto’ link. So if you click on email link, It will open new mail window in Microsoft Outlook(if installed).
Mailto link is a type of HTML link that activates the default mail client on the computer for sending an e-mail.
The web browser requires a default e-mail client software installed on his computer in order to activate the e-mail client. If you have Microsoft Outlook, for example as your default mail client, pressing a mailto link will open a new mail window.

Hi @rahul,
Thank you for pointing out how it should work, but my problem is that it isn’t working. I use the right mailto links and I have gmail as my default email provider installed. Nevertheless it’s not working.
On a long press I can copy the email address, so no problem there. The link is okay. Thanks in advance if you could take a closer look.

Hi There,
I tried to replicate on my own installation but it worked just fine.
Please provide your your login credentials in a secure note so we can take a closer look.
Thanks!
Okay, thanks. I’ll send you a secure note.
Hello There,
Thanks for providing the information. I tested the email links in your site and compared it with our local testing servers. I can confirmed that in your site there is an issue. Did you add some custom JS? Could you please remove the custom JS temporarily and test the email links again?
Please let us know how it goes.
Hi,
Sorry for the delay. I removed all custom javascript, but still no luck.
I’ve taken a closer look, and it seems to be a conflict with the plugin “Elegant Tabs for Cornerstone”. If you deactivate it, the problem goes away. As this isn’t our plugin regretfully we won’t be able to troubleshoot why exactly it’s introducing this conflict. You may want to reach out to the developer about it.
Hi,
Infi web is still looking into the problem, but in the meantime I solved my problem by deactivating Cloudflare.
Glad you’ve sorted it out.
Cheers!
