Email forms etc

Hi,

I have a number of questions:

  1. I am using the full site template ‘Lawyer’ of the “Pro” and trying to configure the default email form in it. But I can’t make it work. I am a total novice and can’t figure out what needs to be done to make it work. After a bit of blind tweaking of the settings in the left pane of the “builder” what happens is - when I press the Submit button the form opens my desktop email client, instead of sending the email to the recipient (my gmail inbox) over the net! I realize I am missing something here, but don’t know what that is! Please help! By the way, how can I add new fields in this built-in form if I want to?

  2. I am unable to replace the example address/phone/email in the top-right corner of the said template with my real address and contact info. I did replace it in the footer section and in the contact page, but not the one in the top-right part of various pages of the the template. I can’t even “select” it! How can I “select” and replace it with my real info?

  3. How can I edit/add to the raw codes of various pages?? Can I do this using the live builder?

  4. I am using the “Pro” version of “X”. Do I need to uninstall Cornerstone?

Thanks in advance for answering my questions in detail!

Hi @auritri,

Thanks for reaching out.
Please find the answer to your queries below.

  1. It should be the Contact Form 7 form which will be submitted once clicked into the Submit button. It seems that Contact Form 7 plugin is not installed, I would suggest you install the plugin and try to add the Contact Form.

  2. You can change the Address and other details from the Theme Options > Headers > Miscellaneous > Topbar Content.

  3. The Raw code can be edited through the Content Builder

  4. The Cornerstone is already integrated with the Pro, there is no need to install it separately.

Hope it helps.
Thanks

Hi,
Just 2 clarifications needed:
3. Can you point me to the exact place of the Content Builder from where I can edit raw code? I didn’t find it.
4. Cornerstone got installed when I first installed “X”. But then I found an offer in the Themeco member area to convert X to Pro. So I upgraded to Pro. But Cornerstone still remains in the plugin section. There are lot of references too in the page codes to Cornerstone. Do you suggest I uninstall Cornerstone, since I have Pro now? Will doing so remove those references to Cornerstone in the raw codes?

Thanks!

Hi @auritri,

3.) To locate the raw code, just go to your page and find the section where the raw code is located. If you are referring to something else, would you mind sharing more information about what you mean by raw code?

3.) I suggest that you remove the cornerstone plugin because Pro has a built-in cornerstone.

Hope that helps.

Thank you.
