I’m trying to setup Email Forms and MailChimp asks for the street address and postal code to be displayed in the footer of the newsletter. Now, i’m just starting a simple blog and i want to notify the future subscribers of any new content posted on the website, is displaying the street address/postal code necessary in the newsletter in EU? I find this an invasion of privacy and very dangerous for a simple blogger without a company.

Thanks for reaching out.

It’s not related to Email Forms plugin since it’s solely related to the newsletter that you’ll send. The email forms is just a form allowing the signup to your site but the data are still saved on Mailchimp server. I recommend contacting Mailchimp about that requirement.
