Email chimp pop up code not connecting

I have looked at the other solutions on this forum and tried every one and I’m still not getting any results.

I added it the function.php and still nothing. Please help

Thank you for writing in, you need to use a hook to insert that script into the header area.

For inserting script on the header or footer area of the site. You can use the Insert Headers and Footers plugin instead. Remove the script from functions.php to avoid conflict.
