Elements won't Duplicate

Using Cornerstone, in the past I have often duplicated an element or row and then dragged it to where I wanted it, changed text or image etc. However, today I cannot duplicate any elements, images, text or rows, nothing.
If I hover over the duplicate icon the label does not appear. If I click the duplicate icon the item is duplicated in the side menu but the actual object or element is not duplicated or visible on the page.
This is happening (or not happening) on multiple X websites that I manage. I have tested in Chrome and Firefox and neither work. The Pro sites I manage seem to be working fine.
Can someone please advise on what is going on and how this can be fixed?
I have used X and Pro for years and never experienced this.

I just tried dropping some new elements onto a page and this does not work either.

Hi Peter, Thanks for your reply. I have this problem over a few sites, not just one. Your reply left me thinking you thought it was a problem to only my site/s which got me thinking a little more.
What was unique to all sites that other websites may not have? I decided SG Optimizer (by Siteground)
With SG Optimizer deactivated I can duplicate objects and insert elements as in the past. Problem solved!
With SG Optimizer reactivated the problem returns.

Hey @artisticdog,

The SG Optimizer must be conflicting with the theme and breaking it, just keep it disabled to resolve the issue.

Thanks!
