Elements with Animations not loading in iOS Chrome

Hi Support: I’m building out a site in dev, so there’s no optimizations yet - including caching. It works great on Safari and Chrome on my desktop, and it works fine on the iPhone with Safari. But…

Any elements with an animation - whether I setup an animation in the Effects section OR if I use an element with a built in animation (read: mega menu or sliders) does not display on iOS 15.4 (current version) on a new iPhone with a current version of Chrome for iOS.

I have turned off all plugins and it doesn’t seem to be the issue. Any guidance?I would prefer to keep the animations but happy to turn off “optional animations” - but I definitely need the sliders and menu to work, so this is a big deal.

I’ll send the site information and login in a private note momentarily and if I can upload a screen shot on my phone I will do that.

Ok. I’m not sure what’s going on. Two different people (myself and a family member) had issues on iOS and Chrome. But right now, when I made the recording - it was failing at first and would not load or reload.

But when I closed the offending tab and reopened the site, it loaded perfectly.

My sister lives in Japan so I will see if that all resolved for her as well once she’s awake, but this may be near impossible to recreate. I don’t know what caused it, nor why it fixed just as suddenly. It may have been a caching issue with SiteGround though as I have tried to turn off all caching (since it’s a dev site) but have had some remnants of caching affecting other things. I can’t rule that out.

Since there’s no sound: The first part of the recording is me showing the site in Safari (which works) so you have an idea of what it should look like. The second part of the recording was in Chrome with the broken tab. The third/final was me closing said tab and relaunching the site – to confirm the issue again, but of course it worked properly then.

I feel like I probably wasted your time, and my apologizes for that. If I figure out the cause later in the deployment and build, I will try to update for others who may be stuck. For now, please disregard or maybe try it on iPhone with Chrome and let me know if it works for you. shrugs

The animations are working on my end too using iOS 15 and Chrome latest.
