Elementor not working with X-Theme

I am running X-theme and using Elementor as the editor. All was working great until recently. After updating X, I am no longer able to get to Elementor.

Usually when clicking on Pages, I can hover over the page name, and will be able to “edit with Elementor”. That is no longer displaying.

And, if I enter the page name in the URL, the page loads but if I try to edit any content, the edit area only shows Shortcodes, which I am not using.

Any suggestions are welcome. I can also send screenshots if that helps.

Hi Grant,

Although it is not an issue related to the theme, we are still curious to know the reason behind that. I would request you share the login credentials for your test site in a secure note to investigate. I would also suggest you contact the plugin author on this.
Please note that we do not provide support for 3rd party plugins and related issues.

Hello Grant,

The given credentials do not work for us. Please double-check it. In the meantime, it could also be caused by a plugin conflict, amongst other things. Please check out this troubleshooting article here and follow the instructions for the following sections (where appropriate):

Testing for Plugin Conflict
Theme Update
Child Theme
CSS/JS Customization
Increasing PHP Memory Limit
Disabling Cache
Disabling CDN

I double-checked the credentials provided in the Secure Note and they work. I disabled all plugins, added each back one by one, changed Themes, etc

Still same problem.

I changed the password to a new password. Try the new password in the Secure Note.

The Edit with Elementor option will only come if that page builds with the Elementor. Please find the screenshot describing it.

Thanks, I understand what you are saying. However, the Home page was created in Cornerstone, but after installing Elementor I used Elementor to edit the Home page.

How, I don’t have the ability to use Elementor on the Home page and am forced to use Cornerstone.

This happened after updating the X-Theme, Cornerstone, and Elementor.

Hello @PBwebmaster,

As mentioned by @tristup the page builds with the Elementor that page can be edited through the Elementor page builder. Since you have built the Homepage with the Cornerstone page builder you can not use the Elementor page builder to edit it. It is not possible to use multiple page builder on one page.
