Element CSS not accessible

I’m trying to access the element CSS for a button, but the modal/drop appears to be positioned non contiguously so it’s impossible to select.

Any workarounds, or is this a bug? I’m running Mac Safari 14.0.3 and Pro 4.2.0

Also, what I’m trying to do is rig the button so the background changes on :hover, but I don’t see any options for doing that outside of CSS. Any guidance or resources?

Hi @mgiraud,

That tooltip is just a reminder of what features you’ve used on an element. It’s useful for troubleshooting or locating things that are in use. To get to the Element CSS, click over to the “Customize” tab of the Inspector Navigation and you’ll see the Element CSS button which launches the code editor.

Unfortunately, when I went back into Pro (after saving repeatedly, and then shutting down), that page no longer exists, so I can’t try your tip.

I wonder if it has to do with a no suitable preview warning I’ve been getting. My suspicion is this may have to do with a Slider Revolution module that was somehow on the page. I couldn’t see anywhere in Pro or the Slider Rev interface to remove it, so I disabled the plugin, reinstalled it, then deleted that module.

But something’s not right.

1. What do you think is causing the no suitable preview warning?
2. I’ve been clicking the Save button lower left in the interface religiously - do I need to do something else to save my work?
3. How do you get at a slider revolution module to delete it from a page?
