Elasticpress autocomplete not working with Pro / Ubermenu?

Hi,

I realise that Elasticpress is not an officially supported plugin in this forum. But I’m wondering if anyone has tried using it with Pro and/or UberMenu? The search works just fine. But Elasticpress has a JS autocomplete feature that is supposed to trigger an interaction when the user starts typing in any “search” type HTML input. I’ve also tried specifically decorating an input with the CSS class they give you as an alternative approach.

I’ve tried with both regular Pro Headers (with a Search widget inserted), plain old input boxes on a page, and with Ubermenu inside a Pro header, and just the regular Search widget in a WP Sidebar.

My conclusion is that there must be some JS that is not getting loaded, perhaps due to a conflict with Pro somehow.

Any ideas?

Hey Adam,

Yes, we do not provide support for 3rd party plugins. We also do not have experience with ElasticPress so you might want to post this in our Peer to Peer forum instead.

If you suspect there’s a conflict with Pro and any of the products we provide, please provide details and evidence. You can do that by copying your live site to a staging server then deactivate everything except Pro, UberMenu, and ElasticPress.

After, that record or document the issues you’ll discover. You then switch to the default WordPress theme to compare if the issue will persist to check if the issue is with ElasticPress or there’s really conflict with our theme.

If there’s a conflict, we will report this to our development team and they will decide if they’re going to support ElasticPress or not.

Thanks.
