Editor Permissions not working as expected

Hey team,

I just noticed a biug within the permission settings of the pro theme.
I’ve tested it with the “Editor” permissions and the “Lock / Unlock Elements” setting.
Even though the box is unchecked for the “Page” post type, the Editors still have access to unlock a locked element.

To reproduce it:

  1. Head to Cornerstone > Settings > Editor role > Pages
  2. Activate the pages for the editor and click “Configure”
  3. Uncheck “Lock / Unlock Elements” setting and save the changes
  4. Create a Cornerstone page as an admin and lock a section > Save the page
  5. Log in as an editor and try to edit the page of step 4
  6. Once loaded, click on the magnifying glass on the locked section and you will still see the possibility to “Unlock” the section.

Let me know if you need a testing page and I’ll bootstrap you one.

Hello @TheOwnplay,

Thanks for writing in! The Lock/Unlock feature in the builder is just for the user level. This is very useful if you have several DIV elements on top of each other. If there are Sections that you do not want to mess up while you are still editing the page. This feature does not prevent other users from locking or unlocking any element.

Best Regards.

Thanks! I guess it makes sense to add a short description to the settings for better understanding of what actually gets limited. Like this its more trial and error and I’m ending up texting you.

You’re welcome.
