Editing existing pages/posts in PRO

Hi there,

Thanks to the great support I have received here, my project is getting closer to the finish line. I hope you can answer another question:

How can I edit already existing pages? Pages with formatting, headers, images, page breaks, everything a normal WP page can have when edited in Gutenberg/Classic Editor/TinyMCE.

When I open an existing page in PRO, I see the title, and I can add all sorts of PRO elements.

That’s great, but I can’t find the original content! Opening the page in a WP editor in another browser, and copying and pasting the content into PRO, I guess that would work, but I hope there is another easier way I haven’t found yet!

How can I do it?

Thanks, and best regards

Harald

Hello Harald,

Thanks for writing in!

Unfortunately, pages designed using Gutenberg, Classic Editor or other page builders are not backwards compatible with Pro Theme content builder. Meaning a page created in Gutenberg etc, can’t be edited on Content Builder and vice versa.

Unfortunately, you will have to recreate the pages in Content Builder. However, you can keep the pages designed using Gutenberg and future pages can be designed using Content Builder. Even though Content Builder and Gutenberg, Classic Editor or other page builders are not backward compatible, they work fine alongside each other in parallel.

Thanks for understanding.
