I added this into the function php code to see if it would fix the contact form 7 issue:
// De-register jQuery from Contact Form 7
add_action( ‘wp_print_scripts’, ‘my_deregister_javascript’, 100 );
function my_deregister_javascript() {
wp_deregister_script( ‘contact-form-7’ );
}
But now my website is white and not working

Hi there,
Sounds like you might have introduced a syntax error. It could be because that code looks like it has smart quotes instead of standard quotes. This is common if you copy and paste the code from a site where quotes are converted. You’ll need to login with FTP (or other direct file access) and remove your code to get the site working again.
Anytime you’re making code changes, it’s good to have WP_DEBUG enabled:

That will provide messaging on what errors are happening.
