Purchased regular X Theme last week and our hosting provider is Ipower. When I click on edit with Cornerstone, it does open up. But when clicking on edit from one of the pages, none of them ever load to let you edit them. Can someone please have a look at this? From the research I’ve done here, believe Ipower might be the problem. But I need to be sure before asking them to update their php. Thanks
Hello @krokuss,
Thanks for asking.
Would you mind trying these general solutions.
- Clear all caches including browser cache then deactivate your caching plugins and other optimization plugins.
- If you’re using a CDN, please clear the CDN’s cache and disable optimization services.
- Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
- Remove custom CSS, Javascript and templates.
- Reset your htaccess file by renaming it to .htaccess-bak. Then in WP Admin Menu, go to Settings > Permalinks and just click the Save Changes button.
- Contact your host to increase your allocated memory or do it yourself by adding this code in your
wp-config.php
define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M' );
define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '512M' );
7. Please make sure you are running Php 7.2 or latter. You can refer following source for more information. https://wordpress.org/about/requirements/
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks.
Ok, thanks for the reply. I have tried all of the things you have listed. Still having the same issue. Logged info Ipower to look at the server information. The PHP version is listed as 5.5 and below is their configuration. Please let me know what needs to be done next.
Server Information
Configuration for www.ipower.com
CGI: Active
Document Root: /home/users/web/b1589/ipw.prminet0
FrontPage Extensions: No
Logs: https://www.ipower.com/controlpanel/LogFiles.bml

MySQL Version: 5.6.32
Perl Version: 5.8.8
PHP Version: 5.5

It’s working now! Got Ipower to update the PHP version from 5.5 to 7.1 and I can edit the pages now. Thanks again!
Runinng old oversion of Php can cause potential conflicts and more importantly it can have security loopholes. I am Glad to hear that the problem is now fixed and you are able to use Cornerstone.
